Our team

Jitka Janáková graduated from the University of South Bohemia in 1997, specialising in the field of Genetic Engineering. In 2002, she joined the cytogenetic laboratory of GENNET. In autumn 2007, she participated in an internship at the cytogenetic laboratory of Friedrich-Schiller University in Jena, Germany. In the same year, she joined the branch of the GENNET Clinic in Liberec as the head of the cytogenetic laboratory, which is currently mainly focused on peripheral blood karyotyping. In the Liberec laboratory, she introduced the methodology of cultivation and subsequent examination of karyotype from abortion tissue.

Jana Stárková graduated from the Alšovo nábřeží Medical School in Prague – Laboratory Technician. In 2006, she continued her follow-up studies, which she completed with an attestation in Genetics. In 2001, she started to work at the Central Military Hospital – Střešovice as a laboratory technician at the Biochemistry Department. In 2003, she started to work at the General University Hospital – Albertov at the Department of Cytogenetics. Since 2008, she has been working in GENNET as a laboratory technician for the Cytogenetics Department, where she currently works as a senior laboratory technician.
