MUDr. Štefan Lednický Recognized at Prestigious ESHRE 2025 Conference

We are delighted to announce that MUDr. Štefan Lednický, a physician from the GENNET Genetics Department, has achieved an exceptional professional milestone at the prestigious international ESHRE 2025 conference (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology).

His scientific poster, titled “A prospective monocentric genetic study of a cohort of 50 patients with diminished ovarian reserve using whole exome sequencing,” was selected for presentation and further honored with a jury award.

The research focused on the genetic causes of diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) using whole exome sequencing. A key finding included the first confirmed identification of pathogenic GATA4 gene variants in affected patients. The results highlight the significant role genetics can play in fertility assessment.
